On one front Google and Microsoft are going thermonuclear on the native
Youtube app for Windows phone, Google has updated the Youtube app on iOS
with a bit of a redesign, following the update on Android. Whats new in
this app is that it allows you to multitask. You can minimize a video
into the corner while you can surf and browse through rest of the app.
You can offcourse then bring it back up or swipe it away to get rid of
it.
Another very nice and welcome addition is that you can do all this and at the same time stream to your chromecast, supported TV’s and your PS3. When one of those devices is connected to a WiFi network, you’ll see a new button in the top right corner that lets you push it to the device. It is perfect for something like the PS3 where you can let go of the controller for searching videos and replace it with a larger iPad screen which is far better.
